Vandal Proof

 

These pieces were carried out on a wall facing derelict ground in Salford. The progressive damage to the white posters and in turn to the photographic record of them formed the basis of the serial progressions.

The work both depended on and formed a record of the fairly random process of vandalism. It was therefore intended both to be proof of vandalism and also vandal-proof, in that no matter what was done to it would automatically become part of the work.
