Los Enamorados

This started from an acrylic chair seen in the dentist’s waiting room!

From this, a tiny scribbled sketch of two figures engaging.

The idea was developed with a title and text. The scale and cost would have to be large

The two figures were photographed separately then united in photoshop.

The two images with the addition of coloured backgrounds and words were printed on to acrylic

The two chairs were made by sawing an existing one in half by hand.

The large scale required a giant backlight – three LED ceiling panels each measuring 60 x 120 cm.

The final piece required a very strong structure to support the weight of light panels , giant photo prints on 5 mm. acrylic and the chairs
